Where do you live and how far will you travel?

I'm a destination wedding specialist, who photograph weddings in any country of Europe with tons of frequent flier miles and a keen ability to fall asleep sitting up on a plane. I am very, very comfortable traveling for events. Rest assured that should you commission me to cover your wedding and travel to you then you are hiring someone very experienced with travel for business. Travel is billed very simply - if airfare and hotel and rental car are needed, all you are responsible for is a direct reimbursement for the charges.

What is your wedding photography style?

My photographic style is a combination of classic and modern photography. I take a photojournalistic approach to your day, capturing all beautiful moments, that will make you smile years from now.
Over-posed photos are a definite no-no, so I work with you from the start to create natural, relaxed images of the two of you together.

Do you work with a second photographer?

Most of the images you see on my website are shot by me without a second photographer. However, if you’re planning a large wedding with lots of guests, then you may benefit from a second photographer. If this is the case, I have a number of super talented photographers on hand to help. I’ll give you details so you can review their collections and see which one that you like.

What does the second photographer do?

Typically, I start the day with the bride getting ready, and the second photographer is with the groom and groomsmen getting ready. Once the ceremony begins, they will work with me to get all the shots we need from different perspectives. For example, if I am shooting with a wide angle lens, they can be shooting with a telephoto and get close-ups. If I am in the front of the church, they can be in the balcony. As I shoot the bride and groom walking out from inside the church, they can be outside to get them coming thru the door. At the reception, while I am shooting the family photos, they are inside getting detail shots of the flowers, tables, table cards, and guests mingling during the cocktail hour.

Is your second photographer experienced?

Yes. All of the photographers that I work with have got their own wedding photography businesses. They have their own camera equipment, and know exactly what needs to be photographed at a wedding. I’d be happy to show you samples of their work! However, please realize that I am the main photographer, and I would never send someone in my place. My assistants are there to accentuate the visual storytelling.

Do we need to hire a photographer and videographer?

You probably know to keep photographers on your must-hire list, but videographers should be a priority too. While your photographer will immortalize much of your wedding day, think of the sounds that can't be captured in a photo (like your vows, the reception music and the toasts). If your budget allows for both vendors, it really is worth the investment.

Do you use any lighting equipment?

I absolutely love natural light. Of course, when necessary, I do have the lighting equipment I need for my style of shooting. However, I do shoot as much as I can in available light.

What about a backup camera? Do you have one?

I shoot on two professional-grade camera bodies (Canon 5D Mark III). I carry multiple lenses and flashe so I can create beautiful, smooth images from any distance and in any kind of light. Also, I have plenty of batteries and memory cards. If I work with other photographers, they bring their own equipment.

How do you ensure that the photos you take are are backed up and safe from fire or accidental deletion?

To ensure that your images are safe within our care, we take quite a few precautions. Our cameras allow dual memory cards to be used, meaning one photo is being written to two different memory cards during your wedding, in case of failure. When the photos arrive back in the office, they are backed up and synchronized to two different hard-drives.

What back-up plan do you have to assure us that any photography event will be shot on schedule?

I have high-end, quality photography gear that has never failed on me. Additionally, I have a backup camera and other gear to ensure that all of your images will be professionally captured on time and the moment they happen.

What if something happens to you and you can’t make it to our wedding?

Although the chances of this are very slim, it CAN happen. I do have a network of photographers that I can call, but believe me when I say it would have to be an extreme circumstance for this to happen. If I have a cold, I take cold medicine. Travel plans are made around wedding dates. Your wedding is very important, and I know that you are counting on me to be there!

Do you need a wedding photography shot list?

You only need to provide me with a shot list of specific group photos of family and friends that you’d like or if there is something unique or unusual you would like captured – as for everything else, I’ll have it covered.

I saw a photo of yours that I really liked. Is it possible to duplicate that exact image?

Due to the nature of on-location shoots, it's almost always impossible to duplicate a specific shot because of lighting variations. I do, however, promise that we will get amazing photos from our session that will not only be unique, but also fitting to your character and style.

How many hours will you be at our wedding?

As long as you need me. I offer packages of 6 hours / 8 hours / 10 hours or Unlimited Coverage. Shorter coverage is also available.

How many images will we get and how many images will be edited?

I take as many photos to cover your wedding as needed, but if we’re talking numbers, equates to a minimum of 50 photos every hour of your day. Also this will depend on the set up of your day: if your wedding service and reception are at the same venue; the prevailing weather conditions and the number of family and guests present will all have a bearing as will the number of photographers present. We can present from around 400 for a small wedding to around 800 finished wedding images for a large full day wedding with two photographers.

How long does it take for the photos to be ready?

I'll finish all the editing of your photos within four weeks after your wedding. Then, as soon as I have finished all of the edits - I'll upload edited photos to the web gallery.

How do we get our edited images?

Images are delivered via a password protected online gallery. You can download them and use them for prints and albums.

What size are the images you give to your clients? What's the DPI? Are the images watermarked?

All images are would be at a maximum available resolution and 300 DPI. These images are unwatermarked and ready to print. You will also receive another set of photographs for social-media, sized at 1,500px (long side) that will be perfect for Facebook, Instagram, and more!

We have never been photographed professionally before and we are quite camera shy, will you be able to work with us?

Absolutely! Most of the couples I photograph have not been professionally photographed before their wedding. Your wedding is about celebrating and showing your love for each other it is NOT about being photographed. Enjoy your day and be yourself, that’s all you have to do! If you are still a little concerned, why not think about booking a pre-wedding before the wedding.

Will you make me pose?

No! I hate posing) Plus you always end up pulling the oddest of faces, something everybody wants to avoid on their wedding day! I want your photos to be as natural as possible and aim to blend into your day as a guest, you’ll barely notice me. I do think it’s important to have around 10-15 minutes to capture some portraits of you both at some point in the day, but these are kept incredibly light and fun. This is something as simple as us going for a walk around your venue, or a nearby location. You’ll be so caught up in the magic of just getting married, that you won’t need me to tell you what to do.

My wedding may be different to the weddings on your site. Would you still shoot it?

Weddings are about people, and that will be our focus. We are not really concerned with the weather of the other surroundings. We are there to document your unique story, and, no doubt, it will be incredible!

What do you wear to weddings?

I with my assistants almost always wear comfortable black clothing: black shirt, pants, and quiet shoes.

Will you need any food during the wedding?

We’d love to! However, we understand that it is not always possible, so it’s not a condition of our service, but if it’s there, we won’t say no!

What are your prices and how we can book our date?

When should we book you?

Preferably as soon as possible. Every year some dates are more popular than others. Pre wedding shoot sessions are normally around 1-2 months before the wedding date.

Can you do the printing for us?

Of course! But I give you the digital files so that you have options. Because you have full rights to use the images, and can work with them in any way you’d like, you can save money.

What kind of wedding albums do you offer?

I offer an awesome selection of classic, custom-designed wedding photo albums and photo books. Your album can be finished in different materials and styles, from buttery soft leather to natural linen. No matter how often your album is looked through – even when your children ask to see – your wedding photos will look amazing.
